Night view from Marina Bay Sands Skypark

Marina Bay Sands is an integrated resort located at Marina Bay front in Singapore. The integrated resort property contains casino, theater, shopping mall and signature restaurants.
There is an observation deck at the top of Marina Bay Sands tower. It is called the Skypark at Marina Bay Sands. The Skypark stands atop the 55 storied tower and provides a breathtaking view of the entire bay front. We enjoyed the night view this time. Plan to go again sometime during the day as well.

Here is a video of the night view from the Skypark along with a few pictures.

Singapore Diary 6: Arab Street and around Bugis area

The other day we went to Arab Street. The place is in front of Masjid Sultan in the Bugis area.
You can read more about the history of the area in Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_Street)

Its an area of good kebabs. We went for a restaurant named Beirut.
The food was good and so was the ambience. A very nice place to hangout with friends.

And also you get to enjoy some good dance like this one.

Singapore Diary 4: Evening at Clarke Street

Named after Sir Andrew Clarke, the second Governor of Singapore, Clarke Street is one of the happening areas of Singapore with a lively night life. The night life is most visible on any Saturday evening.
The Clarke Bridge is one of the landmarks of the area where you can see people partying in the open all through the night.
We went for a few evening trip to the area.

An Indian fast food joint where you can enjoy some good rolls with beer.

Portrait painting in progress on the Clarke Street.

You can also view belly dancing on a Satuday evening in front of a Persian food joint called Shiraz. This is not a regular event; takes place sometime for promotional purpose.

Singapore Diary 3: A trip down the Singapore river

Recently we went for a ride down the Singapore river. We first caught up with some of my friends staying at The Swissotel Stamford (http://www.swissotel.com/hotels/singapore-stamford/).
First a few snaps from the 63rd floor balcony of my friend's hotel room.

The green patch you can see at the corner of the below pic is that of Singapore Cricket Club (http://www.scc.org.sg/main/clubNews.html). Plan to make a trip to there too.

We started out river trip from near the Merlion Park. Unfortunately because of some renovation, the big Merlion was not functional on the day.
So had satisfy with the baby Merlion.
